Kings Cross The Church has moved to Kentish Town

Due to the redevelopment of the Kings X area the weekly event known as The Church moved a couple of months ago to a venue called The Forum located five minutes from Kentish Town tube station.

Kings Cross I Lived in Kings Cross &survived ... just

I lived in King's Cross for a few months (travelling from Australia). We were broken into 3 times (twice while we were home), someone attempted to break the door in once (while we were home), my flat mate was mugged at knife point, and all his stuff stolen, we witnessed a stabbing. Nice place to visit ... just don't live there if you can help it.

Kings Cross really?

I have lived there 3 years, and had 1 day time break in in that time. They stole the play station. Apart from that never had a problem. In fact, alot has changed in that time. The in habitants of our street have transformed to young families and affluent individuals.

Kings Cross Great DJ Bar

The Lincoln Lounge (bottom of York Road opposite the back of KX station) is pretty groovy in a should-really-be-in-Shoreditch kind of way (improved since I used to live in KX when it was just the Lincoln Arms, had no punters and still kept dusty pork pies under a perspex dome on the bar!). The Waterside Inn is tucked away on the canal basin and is OK (best in summer) as is the Ruby Lounge on the corner of Cally Road and Balfe Street. Good music at the Water Rats just up the Gray's Inn Road.

Kings Cross Babushka

babushka by the canal on cally road has a cute terrace when the weather is nice and a big roaring fire in the winter. They have different DJ's through the week. I live near there and here the music everything from uplifting house to rare groove and all the colurs inbetween. The staff are friendly and they do ace coctails and vodka along with beers such as Hogarden. (think I spelt that wrong)

Kings Cross Place to eat in Kings Cross

What about Casa Mamma, an Italian restaurant just at the end of Gray's inn Road, (339). Nice pizza and pastas but also good meat dishes.

Kings Cross Transport (unless youre driving at peak times!)

You just can't beat KX for transport. Three mainline stations within 10 minutes walk to get you out of London (plus the Thameslink station). Six (I think) tube lines and loads of buses for getting around London. AND you can walk to the West End in half an hour!

Kings Cross You need to explore!

I love kings cross - not only because it's got good transport links and until recently quite a cheap place to live... the best thing is that you really have to know the place to even see anything good about it. there was always this horrified look on faces when i told peeps i lived there, but when i show them around they're surprised! first the bars... The Lincoln Lounge on York Way, the Ruby Lounge and Babushka on Caledonia Rd., The Craic House on Northdown st, The Waterside Inn next to the canal on a nice day. you'd be surprised when you turn into the canal - it's so peaceful you wouldn't think you were in the middle of the city. You can walk to angel if you feel a bit snooty... Then the Clubs; Bagley's , the Cross, Egg, Scala. To eat, I recommend Paolina's on King's Cross rd. Vietnamese/Thai food BYO with a friendly service and very authentic decor - cheap! Walk down the canal for twenty mins and you walk past some interesting architecture and end up right in the middle of Ca

Kings Cross Sainsburys..

There's a Sainsbury's at Angel but you have to mix with the Sun Dried Tomato set! Or there's Safeway down towards Russell Square which is a short(ish) walk.
