Just went to a new dental practice that's opened- it's the first one in colliers wood! Must say, had a great experience. They spent time to explain things to me, and their prices were so reasonable. Would definetly recommend it to anyone looking for a dentist in the area. It's called Simply Bright, and they are doing free check-ups at the moment! There are quite a few decrepid local pubs for local people, where you can get a cloudy pint, a cheap game of pool and a long stare. As for food, go to Clapham or Wimbledon. It's got a great atmosphere and a rather flamboyant landlord. Not the sort of pub to go to if you're after pool and TV, but it's a good place to meet friends and have a relaxed evening. Gorgeous food at reasonable prices (about £40 for two including main meal, pudding and wine) Opposite the Burger King. I give the place 10 out of 10. There is also Tom Cobleighs in the Priory Centre for cheap and cheerful food in vast quantities. Their Sunday roasts, served on huge platters, are wonderful hangover cures... A couple of new bars, a new pub, two retail parks, two very nice non-retail parks and tennis courts. It is near to Wimbledon (10mins) Tooting (5-10mins) and you can be in the City in less than 30 mins. For some urban serenity there is the beautiful Merton Abbey Mills and Dean City Farm & riding school and the River Wandle. If you want a good night out or somewhere good to eat you will need to head further out to avoid disapoiontment.
